There is a 3 hour minimum and an 8 hour maximum for all partial day hourly rentals. Standard venue rentals are 4 hours. All venue rental rates are inclusive of set up and break down time. Options noted with a * are available both during business operating hours and outside of business operating hours. All other rental options are permitted outside of business operating hours only.

The Main Floor

There are many options for your event at The Bread House & Granary depending on the size of your guest list. The Main Floor includes multiple private dining spaces, a separate bar, a generous front porch, cozy nooks and hangout areas, and a large Main Dining Room with its own private outdoor space.

Brimming with rustic charm, lovingly sourced décor and antiques, and delicious, wholesome farm-to-table food, The Bread House & Granary is a lovely spot to host your rehearsal dinner, wedding reception, send-off brunch, corporate event, daytime meeting, holiday party, birthday party, shower or other special event.

The Front Porch

 The grand entrance to the Bread House & Granary may be reserved hourly or for a half day – invite your friends & family for a private dining experience to celebrate a milestone occasion or host a business meeting over a delicious breakfast or lunch. The front porch is also included in Partial or Full Buyouts for larger events and may be reserved during business hours. Tables may be combined to create one long dining table to seat up to (16) guests. Features include two ceiling fans, antique furniture and décor, couch, side chair and coffee table.

The Retail Store

 This welcoming central area of the venue can be cleared for larger events to provide more mingling space for your guests. This room also makes a great place to set up a guest book, photo display, or event signage! This room is available outside of business hours only and may only be rented as part of our Downstairs Buyout packages.

The Fireplace Room

Situated just off the Front Porch & Retail Store, this cozy, semi-private space seats up to 12 for dining and is a great location for a baby shower, bridal shower, or early morning breakfast meeting. This room is available to rent outside of business hours only. Features include a dining table, high boy, fireplace, antique furnishings and hangout nook with couch and coffee table.

The Coffee Bar

This flexible space is a great spot for our team to execute your bar service and increases the capacity of your event to 75 guests when renting in conjunction with The Fireplace Room, Retail Store and Front Porch. It has a full-service bar, and a giant window that overlooks the Main Dining Room and the hustle and bustle in the kitchen — a dynamic experience for your guests! The furniture in the bar may be removed by our staff to create more usable space, flow for guests and event bar service upon request. Highlights include pocket doors that allow this room to be closed off from the event if needed; a 44” Smart TV, and private restroom.

The Main Dining Room

Our largest dining space and a beautiful room to host rehearsal dinners, anniversary parties, and corporate dinners. This room has its own separate covered entrance (set up your welcome signage here!), floor-to-ceiling windows allowing for tons of natural light, and access to its own private patio. Furniture may be moved or re-arranged by our staff to accommodate several floor plan options. Features include a 116 sq-ft stage for live bands & entertainment, two speakers, 2 wireless mics, and a flat screen monitor.

The Side Patio

Available to rent on its own or as an extension of the Main Dining Room, this charming space has a private entrance from West Tift Avenue and tuis perfect for intimate events or as overflow seating (or to take a breather from the dance floor!) for a larger gathering. Includes access to the restroom in the Main Dining Room and private entrance from West Tift Avenue, a covered awning with lights and ceiling fans, grill and ice bins for drink stations.

The Upstairs

Take over the entire second floor of The Bread House & Granary for a daytime shower celebrating a mama to be, an intimate cocktail style engagement party or festive company holiday party. The Upstairs includes three separate dining spaces, a bar and lounge area and an integrated sound system so you can plug in your favorite playlist. The Upstairs also includes (2) restrooms and a dedicated service stairway to allow direct service to this area of the venue.

The Monroe Room

Our largest upstairs dining room features a rustic farmhouse-style chandelier suspended above a long, reclaimed wood dining table that seats up to (12) guests. Shelving may be used to display photos or other décor to personalize your event.

The Tift Room

This light-filled dining room with windows overlooking North Jefferson features a round dining table for up to eight (8) guests. High-backed dining chairs upholstered in vintage grain sacks provide a stylish touch.

The Jefferson Room

This gorgeous room seats up to six (6) guests for dining and features a modern farmhouse style chandelier suspended above a long, reclaimed wood dining table. A cozy leather love seat provides seating on one side of the table.

The Oglethorpe Room

This informal space is a great gathering area for guests to mingle pre- and post-dinner, during a gift exchange or for toasts and speeches. It has furniture for six (6) seated comfortably, with an option to bring in additional chairs as needed.

The Flint Bar

Our upstairs bar is located on the old sleeping porch of the home. Furniture includes two (2) high-top pub tables and a gorgeous antique bar, where our staff provides dedicated bar service to the upstairs dining rooms & lounge.

Custom Bar Packages

Beyond creating delicious food, we are also thrilled to offer thoughtfully curated bar packages featuring premium cocktails, along with zero-proof spins on the classics. We offer three types of packages to fit all event sizes and styles. We are excited to work with you to create the perfect experience for you and your guests.

We offer three types of bar packages to provide beverage service for your event.

  • Our Gatherings Bar Package is for intimate gatherings of 20 guests or less; includes a selection of beer & wine along with cocktails in self-service carafes and pitchers. We may also provide your event with a bar “set-up” to mix your own cocktails, a fun and interactive experience for your event!
  • Our Consumption Bar Package allows you to select from our House, Premium or Reserve liquors, a selection of beers, hard seltzers, and wine. Pricing will be consumption based.
  • Our Open Bar Package is our recommendation for larger events. This package is priced per person based on the duration of your event. Select from four tiers: Beer & Wine, House, Premium, and Reserve. Add passed Prosecco or a cocktail upon arrival as a special “Welcome” to your event!

Included in every bar package:

  • Menu signage at each bar
  • Self-service water dispensers
  • House selection of sodas, juices, cocktail garnishes, mixers, ice and cocktail napkins

What is the maximum number of guests permitted?

The maximum number of guests permitted varies based upon your rental option. We can host smaller events for up to 10 guests, to large, lavish affairs for up to 175.

Where do my guests park?

We share a parking lot with The Whittlesey House located next door. This lot has space for up to 40 vehicles and is first come, first served. Street parking is also available. There is an additional overflow parking lot that accommodates approximately 60 vehicles. We will also gladly provide valet, shuttle, and limousine recommendations for guests staying at hotels nearby.

Do you allow outside food and beverage?

No outside catering or alcohol is permitted.

Are there any other restrictions on the vendors I can use?

Our only exclusive services are the catering & bar packages that must be provided by The Bread House & Granary. Food trucks are permitted in addition to your Bread House catering package. You may use the vendors of your choice for all other services. Please see our list of preferred vendors who we trust to provide excellent service to you and your guests.
